Tattoo Aftercare
Congratulations on your new tattoo!
Your tattoo has been conducted under strict hygienic and aseptic conditions. We conduct hospital-grade sterilization of all of our tools in a separate, enclosed sterilization room; all needles are single use. It is extremely important that you read and follow these aftercare details, as failure to do so can lead to unnecessary problems.
All bodies are unique and some people can take longer than others to heal, so please be patient, stay healthy and be gentle with your tattoo at all times.
Cleaning Instructions:
After the tattoo is completed, your artist applied an ointment to your tattoo and covered it with a dry-loc pad and/or plastic wrap. This covering is to be removed as soon as you arrive home (no more than 2 to 3 hours after applied).

To clean your tattoo:
- Wash your hands with antibacterial hand soap.
- Remove the bandage from your new tattoo.
- Gently rinse the tattoo with warm water and very carefully wash the tattoo with antibacterial hand soap, paying special attention to any blood spots. Do NOT use a washcloth!!!
- Pat dry with clean paper towels. DON’T use a towel and DON’T re-bandage. Once it’s off leave it off.
- Apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment. We recommend Aquaphor or Hustle Butter. This thin layer should be only enough to make it shiny, this gives the tattoo a protective barrier.
- Repeat steps 3 threw 5 after washing your hands and washing the old ointment off the tattoo as many times as necessary throughout the day to keep the tattoo shiny for the next 2 – 3 weeks.
***DON’T submerge underwater for at least 2 weeks.***
***Avoid direct sunlight and tanning for at least 2 weeks. After the tattoo is completely healed you may apply sunscreen to the area in order to tan or have extended exposure to the sun. This keeps the color of your tattoo brighter. We recommend a minimum of SPF 50 or higher.***
