General information
What methods of payment do you accept?
Tattoos are cash only. For piercing and jewelry payment options, see the piercing FAQ.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes we do. Timeless Body Arts gift certificates are available in any amount. Gift certificates are treated the same as cash; as such, lost or stolen gift certificates will not be replaced. Gift certificates may not be returned for a refund. Any unused balance on a gift certificate will be re-issued as another gift certificate. Gift certificates expire 1 year from the original date of purchase.
Set-up fee
We will never coerce anyone to get a service they are not ready for. However, a last-minute change of heart after the artist has set up their station is subject to a set-up fee of no less than $50.
Can I get a tattoo if I’m intoxicated?
No. If you are intoxicated you will not be tattooed. Please be sure the evening prior to any procedure you get a good night’s sleep. Please don’t forget to eat something before coming in. Remember to stay hydrated and refrain from alcohol for 24 hours prior. We want you to have the best experience possible.
Can I bring my pet?
Even though we are animal lovers, no pets are allowed in our studio so we can maintain a clean environment.
Tattoo information
How much is a tattoo?
Tattoo pricing varies based on the design, the location of the tattoo and the amount of time the design will take to complete. We have a $100 minimum, which includes the artist’s drawing and set-up time, disposable supplies, and the equipment needed to complete your tattoo.
Do you charge to draw up a tattoo?
No. Our artists will gladly draw something special for you! We do require a $100 minimum deposit in order to start your artwork. The deposit will be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We recommend scheduling an appointment; walk-ins are limited to availability and appointments take priority. Some artists work by appointment only.
How do I schedule a tattoo appointment?
Setting up an appointment is easy. Find which artist you’d like to schedule with in our list of artists and email them directly. There is usually a couple of days’ wait before the artist gets back to you; if you do not hear back from that artist within a week, we recommend emailing another artist at our shop. A deposit is required to make an appointment, which will be applied toward your tattoo.
Touch-ups
Touch-ups are free for one year unless otherwise stated. Hands, fingers, feet, inner lips, necks, and faces are never guaranteed due to the high likelihood that they will fade. Touch-ups are guaranteed by your artist, not the shop. If you do not take care of your tattoo, you will be charged for your touch-up.
What if I can’t make it to my scheduled appointment?
We ask that if you cannot come in for your tattoo appointment, you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. You can then apply the deposit to your newly scheduled date. If you do not call or show up for your appointment, you forfeit your deposit in full and need to leave a new deposit to schedule a new appointment.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
In the state of Maryland, you must be at least 16 years old with verified parental permission to get tattooed, and a parent must be present. Minors cannot get tattoos on the face, neck, hands, or intimate areas.
We require a valid, state-issued photo ID, driver’s license or passport. Bring your physical ID; photographs or digital copies of identification cannot be accepted. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present, and we require a state-issued photo ID from both the parent and the child. If the child does not have a state-issued photo ID, a birth certificate will be required in addition to a government-issued photo ID (school ID).
The IDs must have matching last names and addresses. If they do not match, we need another government document to show why (for example, a marriage license or change of address card). Acceptable forms of ID are a state-issued photo ID, driver’s license, government ID or passport. If the child has a legal guardian who is not a parent, we will need original court paperwork showing legal custody.
